Which law exam West Virginia uses

At its December 2025 meeting, the WV Board of Pharmacy voted to implement the UMPJE together with a WV-Plus Module [S1]. The WV-MPJE was available through July 31, 2026, and the UMPJE has been required since August 1, 2026, including for transfer applicants [S6]. NABP lists the UMPJE start as June 1, 2026 and the MPJE retirement as August 1, 2026, with the UMPJE required for transfer [S2].

West Virginia rules worth knowing

  • CE (W. Va. C.S.R. 15-3-4). 30 hours every two years, 6 of them live with the pharmacist physically present. New licensees complete 2 hours of drug diversion and controlled-substance prescribing training within one year of licensure, and those hours count toward the 30 [S3].
  • CSMP. Dispensing is reported within 24 hours (W. Va. C.S.R. 15-8-4.1). The CSMP moved to RxGov in 2026 [S1][S4].
  • Technician ratio (15CSR7, eff. 7/1/2026). No more than six technicians and trainees per on-duty pharmacist, at the pharmacist-in-charge's discretion [S5].
