Arizona UMPJE study guide

Which law exam Arizona uses

NABP lists Arizona's UMPJE start as April 1, 2026 and its state MPJE retirement as March 31, 2026. Pharmacists transferring in must pass the UMPJE [S1].

Arizona rules worth knowing

  • CSPMP reporting. Every outpatient pharmacy with an active DEA number and an Arizona permit reports daily to the CSPMP and sends a zero report on days with no controlled-substance dispensing. The Board does not accept waivers [S3].
  • CE (R4-23-204). 30 contact hours every two years. Pharmacists who dispense controlled substances need at least 3 hours on opioids, substance use disorder or addiction. Immunizing pharmacists need 2 immunization hours. Pharmacists who dispense hormonal contraceptives under a standing order need 3 hours on that topic. Hours do not carry forward [S4].
  • Technicians (R4-23-1104). Technicians and trainees work under pharmacist supervision. The pharmacist verifies their work before dispensing, and they wear a badge showing name and title [S5].
