Schedule II — no refills

ptce/federal/c2-no-refills · integrity: practice_only

Claim

Federal law prohibits refilling a prescription for a Schedule II controlled substance. Multiple prescriptions totaling up to a 90-day supply may be issued on the same day only if each Rx is valid and later ones carry earliest-fill dates.

Plain

C-II: zero refills. If the patient needs more, they need a new Rx (or a set of dated Rxs that meet 1306.12(b)). State law can be stricter.
